Tokyo, Japan
The cleanest, most detailed Disney park in the world
Tokyo Disneyland is legendary for its attention to detail, spotless grounds and exceptional service. It has exclusive attractions found at no other Disney park: Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast, Pooh's Hunny Hunt and Monsters, Inc. Ride & Go Seek. The parades and shows are the best of any Disney park. It isn't run by Disney directly, but by Oriental Land Company.

Space Mountain
Tomorrowland
Mich's Tip: CLOSED since July 2024: it's being rebuilt from the ground up. Reopens in 2027 with a renovated Tomorrowland.

Big Thunder Mountain
Westernland
Mich's Tip: Similar to other versions but with Japanese touches. Excellent at night. Has a free Priority Pass in the app.
Mich's Tokyo Disneyland Strategy
- 1
As soon as you enter the park: buy DPA (2000 yen, ~$14 USD) in the Tokyo Disney Resort app for Beauty and the Beast — it has no free pass and sells out fast.
- 2
Grab the free Priority Pass in the app (available through August 2026) for Pooh's Hunny Hunt or Monsters Inc.
- 3
Rope drop: Pooh's Hunny Hunt or Monsters Inc. (whichever you don't have a Priority Pass for).
- 4
Big Thunder Mountain in the morning (Space Mountain is closed until 2027).
- 5
Afternoon: classic rides, explore Toontown, shop for exclusive merchandise.
- 6
Evening: DreamLights Parade + fireworks. Tokyo's nighttime shows are the best in the world.
Note: Tokyo Disney uses a different system: Priority Pass (free in the app, available through August 2026) and DPA — Disney Premier Access (paid, 1500-2000 yen per attraction; 2500 for shows and parades). There's NO US-style Multi Pass.

Tokyo Disney does NOT use Lightning Lane or Express Pass. It uses Priority Pass (free in the app, available through August 2026) and DPA (Disney Premier Access, paid per attraction).
Must-buy
- DPA for Beauty and the Beast (2000 yen) — it has no free option
Mich's Strategy
On entry, buy DPA for Beauty and the Beast and grab the free Priority Pass for Pooh's Hunny Hunt or Monsters Inc. The classic rides don't need either.
